About Our Business.
In 1979, Gilbert (Bud) Clark after many years as a union
installer, opened his first flooring store in south St. Louis county.
His 3 sons , Michael, Gary and Jim , also installers, joined Bud
and they began to build a quality name in the flooring industry
now known as Clark Floor Co. Inc.
After many years of working with his tools, Bud retired and Jim
took over the business. Bud stayed on and worked as an
estimator and went out to personally measure and talk with
our customers.
Bud and his boys built a reputation on expert, reliable work at
a fair price. We use our own full-time installers and do not
subcontract our work. Clark Floor is a member of the
Floorlayers Local 1310 and the Flooring Industry Council.
